With the success of ABRIs back in 2009 HPCS never looked back. We continued our venture as a legal business entity in 2010, taking on freelance subcontractor jobs for small- and medium-sized projects.

We developed MIS systems for Pelita Academy Maritime College, UMNO Bahagian Subang for its Voter Management System, and Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS) for its Water Quality Monitoring System. 2010 was the year we became acquainted with the emerging IT industry and began establishing ourselves in the field.

We mark our 2011 achievement with the completion of the National Health and Morbidity Survey 2011 (NHMS) for the Ministry of Health Malaysia. It was our first engagement in a national-level project, and the exposure raised the bar for our expertise. In the same year, we launched three MIS products: KAFA Student Information System, Residence Information Management System (RIMS), and MyMeetingX. KAFA is a pilot project deployed in several KAFAs in Selangor. 

RIMS, on the other hand, is an extension of ABRIS designed to serve the public. Meanwhile, MyMeetingX was our first product developed in collaboration with Microsoft Malaysia. MyMeetingX is an extension of an existing open-source package called MyMeeting, which is used by government agencies. We forked this version and integrated it to work with Microsoft Exchange 2010. 

Our partnership with Microsoft continued as we promoted MyMeetingX with Microsoft at MyGOSSCON, the Government CIO Conference, and the MOSC exhibition in 2011 and 2012. HPCS was also featured in a Microsoft case study in 2012, which examined how Microsoft interoperability technology works with open-source solutions. 

In 2012, we moved one step higher and incorporated HPCS as HPCs Sdn. Bhd. This move was made to prepare our company for bigger challenges and adventures, as well as to participate in larger contracts as a major player. Currently, we are engaged with the Ministry of Defence and JLKNS (Jabatan Latihan Khidmat Negara), where we are responsible for rebuilding their MIS systems from the ground up.

Project completed in 2012 included a Web Application for Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional (JPNIN), as well as the Rakyat Information Management System for UMNO Kota Damansara. In addition to system development, we also ventured into training and consultancy services. Our professionals have gone the extra mile by providing training sessions on system development topics, mostly focusing on open-source technology for government agencies.

HPCS is actively seeking new partnerships and business prospects to expand our presence in Malaysia’s IT scene before going global. With our current strength and roadmap, we hope to gain enough momentum to establish HPCS as a major IT player in due time.
